Tel Aviv: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu assured US President Joe Biden that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) would take every possible measure to protect civilians during their military campaign against Hamas in Gaza. He stated that Israel would encourage civilians to relocate to safer areas to minimize harm. Netanyahu also expressed the determination to work alongside the United States to meet the necessary requirements, acknowledging that the road to victory might be challenging but emphasizing the unity of purpose and the unyielding spirit of the Israeli people and soldiers.
In response, President Biden affirmed the United States’ commitment to supporting Israel in its efforts to defend its people. He commended Israel’s bravery in confronting Hamas while urging them to uphold their values throughout the battle. The leaders discussed these matters at the beginning of a war cabinet meeting, shortly after Biden’s arrival in Israel.
